A Controversial Addition to the White House

Washington: President Donald Trump is once again in the spotlight for his unconventional approach. He has introduced a new exhibit in the White House known as the 'Presidential Walk of Fame,' but it has raised eyebrows by substituting a traditional portrait of his political opponent, President Joe Biden, with a framed image of an autopen.

Situated outside the West Wing, this gallery showcases portraits of all past U.S. presidents. However, instead of featuring a standard portrait of Biden, the 46th president, Trump opted for the autopen image, a device that replicates signatures, allowing documents to be signed without manual intervention.

During his campaign, Trump frequently criticized Biden regarding his age and mental acuity, suggesting that he was unable to sign significant documents independently and depended on an autopen. Now, back in office, Trump has turned this accusation into a symbolic gesture. The gallery displays two portraits of Trump as both the 45th and 47th presidents, with the autopen image positioned where Biden's portrait would typically hang.

Margo Martin, Trump's communications advisor, shared a video of the new display on social media.

Following the White House's release of images from the gallery, a vigorous discussion ignited online. Supporters of Trump praised the decision as a 'masterstroke' and a demonstration of his unique style, while Biden's supporters and critics denounced it as a disrespectful act towards the presidency.

When reporters inquired about when Biden's actual portrait would be displayed, Trump chuckled and responded, 'It will be from an autopen!'
