Prashant Kishor Jan Suraaj Candidate List: Election strategist Prashant Kishore has created a stir in the politics of Bihar by releasing the first list of 51 candidates of his Jansuraj Party. This list has emerged as a big challenge for both the ruling NDA and the opposition grand alliance. Prashant Kishor has made it clear through the selection of his candidates that he is preparing to make a direct dent in the core vote bank of both the alliances. This list has made the electoral equations of Bihar even more interesting, due to which the contest on many seats is likely to be triangular.

The biggest aspect of Prashant Kishor’s strategy is to cultivate social equations. In his first list, he has given about 50 percent tickets to Extremely Backward Class (EBC) and Advanced Class. Nearly one-third of the voters in Bihar are from the EBC community, which has been considered a traditional voter of the NDA for the last several elections. By giving 25 tickets to this class, PK has directly sounded the alarm bell for BJP and JDU, because this class is considered the key to power in the state.

Preparations to steal Muslim votes

On one hand, PK has targeted the vote bank of NDA, on the other hand, it has also put the Grand Alliance in confusion. Jansuraj has fielded six Muslim candidates in his first list. These candidates have been deliberately given tickets from seats where Muslim voters play a decisive role, such as Sikti, Amour and Baisi. This move can directly affect the Muslim vote bank considered to be RJD’s strongest. Earlier, AIMIM had also caused damage to the Grand Alliance in Seemanchal.

New faces in politics, eye on old families too

Prashant Kishore has given a chance to many surprising and new faces in his list. This includes faces from political houses like Dr. Jagriti Thakur, granddaughter of former Bihar Chief Minister Karpuri Thakur and Lata Singh, daughter of former Union Minister RCP Singh. At the same time, in an effort to reach out to every section of the society, Preeti Kinnar of Kinnar community, five eminent doctors, a Vice Chancellor and Bhojpuri singer Ritesh Pandey have also been made candidates. Ritesh Pandey has got the ticket from Karghar seat, from where there was speculation that Prashant Kishore himself would contest the elections.
