New Delhi . Union Railways, Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has given a big statement regarding the Bullet Train project. At the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference held in Mehsana, Gujarat, he announced that the first bullet train will run in August 2027. Vaishnav praised Gujarat for its leading role in the clean energy sector. While discussing the historical transformation of Railways in Gujarat, he also shared some important information. He informed that a total investment of Rs 1,46,000 crore is being made in the railway sector of Gujarat. Over the past 11 years, 2,764 kilometers of new rail lines have been laid in the state, which is equivalent to the entire railway network of Denmark.

Giving information about the Bullet Train Project, Ashwini Vaishnav said that progressive work is going on in the Gujarat division of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed ​​Rail Project. He announced that the first bullet train will run in August 2027 and the freight corridor in Gujarat has been completed, reducing the duration of container trains from 30 hours to just 10-11 hours. Around 400 trains are running daily on the eastern and western corridors.

Ashwini Vaishnav said on the occasion that Gujarat is becoming a pillar of India’s development journey in the field of semiconductor, modern logistics and electronics manufacturing. Gujarat is a hub of semiconductor, electronics and logistics, which will lead India to become a developing nation by 2047. A total investment of Rs 1,25,000 crore has been made in this sector. The Union Minister also discussed major projects like Tata Electronics plant at Dholer, Micron manufacturing center at Sanand and plants of CG Power and KEC. He specifically mentioned the world’s largest green energy project in Khawada. Vaishnav said, ‘In today’s times, when people ask whether manufacturing is powered by clean energy or not, Gujarat has a clear and strong answer.’
