UPPSC PCS Prelims 2025 Guidelines: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission will conduct the PCS 2025 preliminary examination on October 12th. The examination will be held at designated centers across all 75 districts of the state. To ensure transparency, the Commission has made several significant changes to the rules this time. Candidates will only be allowed to enter the examination center after several rounds of verification. All candidates appearing for the examination will undergo biometric verification at the examination center. A hologram from the Commission will then be affixed to their admit cards. This will ensure that during verification, which candidates have undergone biometric verification. Those without a hologram on their hall ticket will be excluded from the examination center.
UPPSC PCS Prelims 2025: Over 600,000 candidates will appear for the examination under CCTV surveillance.
The examination will be monitored by CCTV cameras and SIs. The exam will be conducted at a total of 1,435 centers. Approximately 6.26 lakh candidates will appear for the PCS 2025 preliminary exam. The center gates will be closed approximately 45 minutes before the exam begins. Candidates arriving late will not be permitted entry. The exam will be conducted in two shifts: the first shift will be from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, and the second shift will be from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Candidates must arrive at the center at least one hour in advance.
UPPSC PCS 2025: How many positions are to be filled?
A total of 200 positions are to be filled. Approximately 626,387 candidates have applied for the preliminary exam. Successful candidates will appear for the main exam, and those who qualify in the main exam will participate in the interview process. The ACF/RFO exam will also be held on October 12th.
