Recently Alia Bhatts uncle Mukesh Bhatt who was once inseparable from his brother Mahesh Bhatt both personally and professionally has now opened up about the emotional turmoil of not being invited to his niece Alia Bhatt’s wedding and not having met her daughter Raha to date. The Fallout That Changed Everything There was a time when the Bhatt brothers Mukesh Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt used to rule the Bollywood production scene through their banner Vishesh Films. But over the years their partnership fractured and in 2021 they parted ways professionally. This separation wasnt just limited to professional terms but it also led to personal drift. Mukesh on Not Being Invited to Niece Alia Bhatts Wedding In an interview Mukesh Bhatt shared the difficulty of missing Alia’s big day. He confessed “I will be a hypocrite if I say I didn’t feel bad. Of course I felt bad. I love Alia a lot and not just her even Shaheen. So when she got married I thought meri bachi ki shadi hai (my daughter is getting married). I was very much wanting to be there.” Despite his feelings Mukesh revealed that he deliberately chose not to reach out fearing it would make Alia uncomfortable in an already delicate situation. He said “I didn’t even try because I didn’t want to put her in a position of discomfort. I didn’t want to put her in a position where she had to see how will her father feel if I call and meet her.” His Blessings Still Unchanged Although there is distance between them now Mukesh wishes the best for Alia. “Maine dil se dua de di (I blessed them from my heart)” he expressed warmly adding that his feelings for Alia have always stayed loving and unchanged. A Longing to Meet Raha Mukesh also revealed that he has not met Alia and Ranbir’s daughter Raha Kapoor who recently turned three. He said “When I got to know that Alia is pregnant and then she had a baby meri aankhein taras gayi Raha ko dekhne ke liye (my eyes yearn to see Raha). I love kids a lot.”
