Chennai: The much-anticipated sequel, Pushpa 2: The Rule, directed by Sukumar and starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, is set to premiere in Japan on January 16, 2026.

The film's distributor in Japan, Geek Pictures India, announced the exciting news on their X account, stating, "Konnichiwa, Nihon no Tomo yo! Rashmika Mandanna, who stars as the female lead, also shared her excitement on X, posting about the film's Japanese release and linking to the trailer. She expressed, "Konnichiwa, Japan!! For those unfamiliar, Pushpa 2: The Rule has already made waves, completing a remarkable 50-day theatrical run. The film's creators also released a reloaded version on January 17, which included an additional 20 minutes of footage, initially set to debut on January 11.

This sequel has become the highest-grossing film of 2024, achieving unprecedented success since its release. It not only captivated audiences but also shattered box office records, entering the ₹800 Crore club in Hindi and surpassing ₹1800 Crore globally, marking it as India's most successful film.

Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule follows the gripping tale of Pushpa Raj, a man determined to reclaim his life after losing everything. The narrative chronicles his ascent to power as he becomes the leader of a notorious syndicate involved in the illegal red sandalwood trade.
