A case of assault with a junior engineer of the electricity department has come to light in Sakra village of Jabalpur Patan police station area of Madhya Pradesh. The video of this incident is also going viral on social media. A person named Saurabh Jain of the village has been accused of assaulting an electricity department official.
Officers had arrived to recover the electricity bill
According to the information received, the electricity department team had reached Patan area late in the evening to check the motor pumps and recover the outstanding electricity bill. Meanwhile, the motor pump installed in the premises of Saurabh Jain in Sakra village was inspected. Investigation revealed that while 7 HP pump was approved, 9 HP load was being used on the spot. There was an altercation between junior engineer and consumer Saurabh Jain over the increased load and the matter escalated into a fight.
It is alleged that after the dispute escalated, Saurabh Jain started abusing the junior engineer sitting in the car and then entered the car and assaulted him. The video of this entire incident has also surfaced.
Police registered the case
After the incident, the junior engineer lodged a complaint at Patan police station. The junior engineer got injured on his face due to the fight. Police have registered a case against Saurabh for obstructing government work. The search for Saurabh and his father is ongoing.
