Skoda India has officially introduced the 2026 Kushaq facelift, bringing significant upgrades across design, features, powertrain options, and the variant lineup. While the top-spec Monte Carlo variant grabs attention with luxury additions like a panoramic sunroof, customizable interiors, a larger touchscreen, and rear massage seats, it’s the base Classic Plus variant that has truly surprised buyers this year.

New Automatic Gearbox for Base Variant

The 2026 Skoda Kushaq is offered in five trims — Classic Plus, Signature, Sportline, Prestige, and Monte Carlo. The entry-level Classic Plus variant is powered by the familiar 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine.

A major upgrade for 2026 is the introduction of an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, replacing the earlier 6-speed automatic. Buyers will also continue to have the option of a 6-speed manual transmission, making the base variant more appealing than ever.

Sunroof Now Standard

For the first time, Skoda is offering a single-pane electric sunroof on the base variant of the Kushaq. This feature significantly raises the value proposition for budget-conscious SUV buyers.

Key Features of Kushaq Classic Plus

Despite being the entry-level trim, the Classic Plus comes loaded with features, including:

  • Single-panel electric sunroof

  • 16-inch alloy wheels

  • LED headlamps and taillamps

  • 6.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system

  • Automatic climate control

  • Sequential rear turn indicators

  • Rain-sensing wipers

  • Rear wiper and defogger

Skoda will also offer front parking sensors as an optional feature on this variant.

Safety Still a Strong Point

The only major omission in the Classic Plus variant is a digital driver display. However, it compensates with strong safety credentials, offering six airbags and over 25 active and passive safety features as standard. Higher variants now get more than 40 safety features.

The 2026 Skoda Kushaq continues to hold a 5-star Global NCAP safety rating, reinforcing its reputation as one of the safest compact SUVs in India.

Expected Price

Skoda has not yet revealed official pricing for the facelifted Kushaq, but the base variant is expected to start between ₹11–12 lakh (ex-showroom).
