Govinda, Chunky Panday, Shakti Kapoor, and BJP MP Manoj Tiwari are among several celebrities whose names have appeared in a First Information Report (FIR) related to Ghaziabad-based company Maxizone Touch Private Limited and an alleged investment scam.
Bollywood Hungama reported that the FIR came on the back of a complaint lodged in the court of Jamshedpur in Jharkhand. The investors accused the company of deceiving them after getting enticed by their promise of extremely high monthly returns.
The police were involved after the investors announced in the complaint that they were promised a monthly return of 15% approximately, but neither the promised interest nor their original capital was returned to them in the end.
More Details On Investment Scam Govina And More ActorDifferent persons have been named in the case, but the celebrities’ names have probably attracted more eyeballs. It is alleged that the actor’s involvement in promoting the company persuaded several more people to invest, as their public image and popularity were used to create trust with potential investors.
Investigators have also taken action against the company leadership. Chander Bhushan Singh, alongside his wife Priyanka Singh, who were directors of Maxizone Touch Pvt Ltd, were arrested by Jamshedpur police in September 2025. It was informed that the couple in question had been on the run from the law for almost three years before they were finally arrested.
The actors have not made any official statements regarding the fact that their names have been included in the FIR.
Authorities say that the probe is still at its early stage, and the question of how involved each person is is being thoroughly reviewed. There will be more details when the case unfolds.
