BluHealth – Blue Cloud Softech Solutions Ltd. has successfully completed a live proof-of-concept demonstration of its BluHealth Screener and BluHealth Scanner platforms at Madgaon Railway Station in Goa, marking a key step in the use of artificial intelligence for preventive healthcare in railway operations. The trial was conducted for Konkan Railway Corporation Limited and evaluated the feasibility of deploying rapid, non-invasive health screening systems in a real-world, high-footfall setting.

Live Pilot Conducted in Operational Railway Environment

The demonstration was carried out over two days on January 15 and 16, 2026, within the operational premises of Madgaon station. The initiative aimed to assess how AI-powered health tools perform under everyday railway conditions involving both staff and passengers. The BluHealth platforms were installed on-site and used to conduct health screenings without disrupting routine station activities.

During the trial, the technology assessed key physiological indicators using contactless and AI-augmented processes. The setup was designed to function efficiently in crowded spaces, reflecting the practical demands of large public infrastructure facilities such as railway stations.

Participation from Staff and Passengers

A total of 44 individuals took part in the proof-of-concept exercise, including 30 Konkan Railway staff members and 14 passengers. The screenings were carried out in the presence of five to seven officials from Konkan Railway Corporation Limited, with on-ground technical support provided by two members of the BluHealth implementation team.

Participants underwent rapid assessments that captured multiple health parameters, including heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation levels, heart rate variability, stress indicators, and single-lead ECG readings. Each screening was followed by AI-based health interpretations, offering immediate insights while maintaining participant anonymity.

Clinical Review and Validation Process

To ensure reliability, the screening outcomes were reviewed in collaboration with medical professionals from Konkan Railway. Joint discussions between the BluHealth team and railway medical personnel were held to validate the results and confirm alignment with accepted clinical standards. This step was intended to reinforce confidence in the technology’s accuracy and its suitability for broader adoption.

The presence of healthcare professionals throughout the trial helped ensure that the system’s assessments were interpreted responsibly and in line with medical best practices.

Key Findings from the Proof of Concept

The demonstration highlighted several strengths of the BluHealth platform. The system delivered fast and accurate readings across a range of vital parameters, enabling efficient health assessments within minutes. Automated risk categorisation allowed individuals to be grouped based on clinical indicators, supporting early identification of potential health concerns.

Operational performance was another notable outcome, as the platform functioned reliably in a busy station environment without causing delays or congestion. Data privacy measures, including anonymisation protocols, ensured that personal health information remained secure throughout the process. Additionally, streamlined reporting features allowed health insights to be generated quickly for administrative review.
