These days, there is a tough competition at the box office between Sunny Deol’s ‘Border-2’ and Rani Mukherjee’s ‘Mardaani-3’. After making great money on the weekend, the pace of ‘Border-2’ has slowed down a bit on the working days, but the film is still standing strong.
On the other hand, ‘Mardaani-3’ is also trying to maintain its hold and is slowly progressing. According to reports, ‘Border-2’ did a business of Rs 6.69 crore on the 12th day of its release i.e. second Tuesday.
Interestingly, the film’s earnings remained the same even on the 11th day, which clearly shows that the film has maintained a stable performance even on weekdays. With this, the domestic box office collection of this war-drama film starring Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan has reached Rs 315.10 crore. The film has earned approximately Rs 392.5 crore worldwide in 12 days.
On the other hand, Rani Mukherjee’s ‘Mardaani 3’ has been struggling at the box office since its inception. The film earned Rs 2.50 crore on the fifth day, which is slightly better than Rs 2.25 crore on the fourth day. However, despite a slight increase, the total earning of the film has reached only Rs 22.25 crore in five days. It is clear from this that despite the strong characters and the identity of the franchise, ‘Mardaani-3’ has not yet been successful in attracting a large crowd of viewers.
