Delhi: In the ODI match played in Dhaka today, Bangladesh showed a tremendous game against Pakistan and won by 8 wickets. In the first match of the three-match ODI series, Shaheen Afridi’s team batted first and got bundled out for 114 runs in 30.4 overs. In the reply innings, Bangladesh achieved this target in just 15.1 overs at the loss of 8 wickets. Nahid Rana had the biggest contribution in Bangladesh’s victory.
Pakistan’s innings account
The host team captain Mehdi Hasan Miraz won the toss and decided to bowl first, which proved to be right for the team. Playing first, Pakistan team had a good start. There was a partnership of 41 runs for the first wicket between Sahibzada Farhan and Maaz Sadaqat. This pair was broken by Nahid Rana. Sahibzada returned to the pavilion after scoring 27 runs.
After getting the first wicket, it seemed as if Nahid Rana had gained tremendous power. He killed a total of 5 batsmen one after the other. During this, Captain Mehdi also supported him fully and was successful in taking 3 wickets in his bag. Due to the dangerous bowling of these two, Pakistan’s innings ended in just 30.4 overs. With the help of Faheem Ashraf’s inning of 37 runs, Pakistan was able to score 114 runs. Pakistan lost 10 wickets in 73 runs.
Tanzid Hasan scored a stormy half-century
Bangladesh did not have a good start while chasing the target. The team got its first blow at the score of 27. However, the host team quickly recovered from this setback. Tanzid Hasan batted aggressively and scored unbeaten 67 runs in 42 balls with the help of 7 fours and 5 sixes. With the help of his innings, Bangladesh achieved the target with 209 balls remaining and won the match by 8 wickets.
