On March 15, the BCCI will host its annual awards ceremony in New Delhi, where former head coach Rahul Dravid is anticipated to receive the prestigious Col CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award. Additionally, Shubman Gill, the captain for both Test and ODI formats, is expected to be recognized as the Men’s Cricketer of the Year.
The event, known as ‘NAMAN’, will honor various teams, including the recent Men’s T20 World Cup champions, the 2025 Men’s Champions Trophy winners, and the victorious Women’s ODI World Cup team from 2025, alongside the U19 World Cup champions from both genders.
Dravid, who led India to victory in the 2024 T20 World Cup, will be celebrated for his significant contributions to Indian cricket. Although Gill was not part of the T20 World Cup winning squad, he is a strong contender for the ‘Polly Umrigar Award’ as the Best International Cricketer in the Men’s category.
In 2025, Gill amassed 983 runs in Test matches, including an impressive 754 runs during a drawn away series against England, averaging over 70. His ODI performance included 490 runs, with 188 runs scored during India’s Champions Trophy triumph.
Reports indicate that some members of the Indian women's team, who are set to be honored for their World Cup victories at both senior and U19 levels, may miss the ceremony due to concurrent matches, including the Senior Women’s Inter Zonal One-Day Trophy Final in Bengaluru and the Women’s Under 23 One Day Trophy Elite Pre quarter-finals in Ranchi.
Furthermore, the Mumbai Cricket Association is expected to be recognized as the top-performing association in domestic cricket for the third consecutive year. Yash Dubey and Yash Rathod from Vidarbha will receive the Madhavrao Scindia Award for being the highest wicket-taker and run-getter in the Ranji Trophy Elite Group.
Dubey, who has been part of the India ‘A’ team since mid-2025, is also likely to earn the Lala Amarnath Award for being the best all-rounder in the Ranji Trophy for the 2024/25 season, while Ulhas Gandhe is in contention for the Best Umpire Award.
Shanthanu Singh and Yashbardhan Singh Chauhan will be awarded the Jagmohan Dalmiya Trophy for their achievements as the highest run-getter and wicket-taker in the U16 Vijay Merchant Trophy. Nitya J Pandya and Hemchudeshan J will receive the M.A. Chidambaram Trophy for their performances in the U19 Cooch Behar Trophy.
