A woman shared a moment she took the bull by the horns and wrote a flirtynote to a flightattendant she thought was cute.

There's nothing quite like going after what you want, and if you get rejected, who cares? Nobody else needs to know, and at least you decided to shoot your shot and attempt to get the attention of the person you thought was cute, rather than mindlessly swiping on dating apps all day long until your thumb feels sore.

That's exactly what one woman did when she thought her "flight attendant was hot," and something incredible happened. She shared her meet-cute on Instagram, where it garnered more than one million likes and almost 11,000 comments.

On the plane, Alycia Viola "rang the bell and asked for a [glass of] champagne," which the dreamy flight attendant handed over to her, full of professionalism. However, she then handed him a note, making sure to mouth that he needed to open it so he didn't just think the napkin was rubbish and throw it away, because that would've scuppered her plans.

Alycia joked that she needed "liquid courage" to ask the flight attendant a question, which was 'Will you get drinks with me after the flight?', with yes written on one side of the napkin, and no on the other.

Bracing herself, she sent him away with the napkin, and then he subtly returned it just minutes later.

Lo and behold, when he gave it back to her, he'd circled yes, and so the pair ended up going for a drink later that evening, and she wrote over the video "success".

"I can’t believe it’s been two years since I posted this viral moment with my now fiancé," she wrote in the caption, proving that sometimes it pays not to be shy.

In the comments, others shared their meet-cute experiences, with one writing: "Was on a flight to Bali for a weekend with my friends, and the guy sat next to me chatted me up.

"He called and asked me out for dinner the next night, then a week later called me when I was back in Jakarta and asked if I would like to meet him again. That was in 2008. We’re now 18 years together and married for 14 years."

Another shared her aunt's story, penning: "Awww this warms my heart. My aunt met her husband that way, too.

"She used to fly for Emirates, and he was on a business flight. They started talking, and she was playing hard to get. So he gave her his number, hoping she would call or text. Unfortunately, she lost it during her layover.

"But he kept flying Emirates, hoping to bump into her again - AND HE DID! He was a bit bummed at first because he thought she wasn't interested in him, even though they were really hitting it off on the flight they met.

"They exchanged numbers again, this time both ways to be safe. Fast forward to today: they have been married since 2008 and have two beautiful children."
