RBSE Announcement: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has made a significant alteration to the Class 10 examination format, introducing a system where the exams will be held twice a year for the first time, starting in 2026. The second examination is tentatively set for April 2026. Following this, the Rajasthan Board of School Education (RBSE) has decided to adopt a similar approach, planning to conduct Class 10 board exams biannually beginning in 2027.

Reasons Behind the Change

The Rajasthan Board aims to ease the stress students face during examinations. This initiative mirrors the CBSE's objective to alleviate exam pressure. The Board has communicated this decision through social media channels. Prior to this announcement, on March 11, officials from the Rajasthan Board had informed the media about a proposal to conduct the Class 10 exams twice a year, which was submitted to the State Government for approval. The final implementation will depend on the government's consent. The Board has confirmed that starting in 2027, the Class 10 exams will indeed be held twice a year, with more detailed information to follow.
