Supermarket Aldi has confirmed it is bringing back a much-loved Easter dessert. The Hot Cross Bunettone will be available in all UK stores from March 8.

The Easter dessert, priced at £7.99, is "a unique and indulgent fusion of two iconic bakery favourites - this bake combines the light, airy texture of a traditional Italian Panettone with the comforting spiced notes of a classic Hot Cross Bun". Aldi said: "Packed with juicy raisins and fragrant candied orange peel, this innovative treat is perfect for slicing and sharing."

Aldi put a genius Easter twist on the classic dessert, and shoppers absolutely love it. On Facebook, one person said: "This Hot Cross Bunettone at ALDI makes the perfect treat in the lead up to Easter."

Another one said: "Spotted a few new products in @aldiuk today, including Hot Cross Bunettone (nice play on words Aldi), along with Salted Banoffee Sponge and Lemon Meringue Sponge, so cool!"

The supermarket is also bringing back other popular Easter desserts, including the Milk Chocolate Egg Cookie Dough.

Aldi said: "A soft chocolate dough speckled with mini milk chocolate Easter eggs, it can be easily sectioned and popped in the oven or air fryer for deliciously oozy homemade cookies."

Shoppers took to social media to comment on the return of the Milk Chocolate Egg Cookie Dough, with one saying: "I need this! Please find me this!"

Some of this year's new additions include the Easter Macarons, the Pistachio Tiramisu and the Hot Cross Bun Pudding.
