Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, are reportedly still renting properties in the Royal Palaces due to an agreement struck by their father. Andrew was forced to leave his Windsor home in February following scrutiny over his links to paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein. The former prince was stripped of his royal titles last year, but both his daughters can keep theirs.

The sisters, who both primarily reside outside London, pay an undisclosed sum of rent to the King in order to retain their second homes. Beatrice has an apartment in St James's Palace and Eugenie has Ivy Cottage, a property at Kensington Palace. A source told The Times: "The [rental] deal was made with their father as he wanted them to have a foothold in the royal palaces."

Beatrice primarily lives in Oxfordshire with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and daughters, Sienna and Athena.

Eugenie lives in Portugal with her husband Jack Brooksbank and their children, August and Ernest.

Andrew was arrested last month on suspicion of misconduct in public office after being accused of sharing sensitive information with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein while he was the UK's trade envoy. He has not been charged and has denied any wrongdoing.

King Charles insisted "the law must take its course" after detectives took the unprecedented step of arresting his brother. In the glare of increased public scrutiny, the king and queen continued their royal duties on the day of the arrest.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor currently lives in a private property owned by the King on the Sandringham Estate.

The former Duke of York, 66, is currently living at Wood Farm Cottage, as preparations are underway for him to permanently live at Marsh Farm at Wolferton.

A six-foot fence is currently being installed as a security measure around the new property, with just a gate now needed to complete the installation.

Andrew is expected to move in over the coming weeks.
