Allu Sirish's Wedding and Jewelry Choices
Allu Sirish recently celebrated his marriage to Nayanika Reddy in a beautiful ceremony held in Hyderabad, surrounded by family and friends. The couple exchanged vows on March 6, sharing enchanting photos from their wedding festivities on social media. A significant highlight of their celebrations was the jewelry, which played a crucial role in both their pre-wedding and wedding attire. Notably, Sirish donned an elaborate choker during his engagement with Nayanika. In a recent interview, he addressed the trolling he faced for wearing jewelry traditionally considered feminine, challenging societal gender norms.
Allu Sirish on Gender Norms and Trolling Allu Sirish on Getting Trolled
In a conversation with a media outlet, Allu Sirish remarked that contemporary 'gender norms' are a relatively new phenomenon. He pointed out that historically, men were more gender-fluid, often wearing jewelry, and that there was no distinct fragrance for men and women until recently. He expressed his desire to challenge these norms, stating, 'Even if I get trolled, let me break that. We needed to start somewhere.'
Throughout the various wedding ceremonies, Sirish adorned himself with diamond and gold jewelry, even getting mehendi with Nayanika's name. He shared that some individuals questioned his choice to wear a necklace, to which he responded in Telugu, emphasizing that if no one tries, things will remain unchanged for decades.
Embracing Personal Style Allu Sirish: Don't Need Others to Dictate
Continuing his thoughts, Sirish expressed satisfaction with his choice of attire for his wedding, noting that men often have limited options when it comes to fashion, primarily restricted to accessories. He stated, 'I am pretty self-assured, so I don’t need others to dictate what’s masculine or feminine.' He firmly believes in defining his own style without external influence.
Previously, in November 2025, Sirish tweeted that the notion of 'only women can wear chokers' is a modern construct, advocating for a broader acceptance of Indian jewelry styles for everyone. On the professional front, he was last seen in the film Buddy, directed by Sam Anton, where he portrayed the character Aditya Ram.
