Mumbai: Rumours surrounding Bollywood actor Mouni Roy have once again surfaced online following widespread speculation about her personal life after reports linked to her separation from Suraj Nambiar.
Social media has been flooded with claims suggesting a close relationship between Mouni Roy and actor Disha Patani, with several users circulating a viral Instagram story screenshot alleging that the two are more than friends.
The viral post, which shows Mouni and Disha together, claims: “After closing one chapter, I have found my life partner in her. Yes… Disha and I are ready to turn this love story into marriage. From pain to happiness… a new journey begins.”
The post quickly gained traction online, with many users believing it to be shared from Mouni Roy’s official account.
However, fact-checking reveals that the post is fake. The screenshot being circulated is digitally manipulated and not an authentic social media update from the actor.
The image used in the viral claim is reportedly from an earlier occasion when the two visited an ISKCON temple during Disha Patani’s birthday celebrations in June 2025.
Amid the confusion, an old statement attributed to Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar has also resurfaced, in which the couple requested privacy regarding their personal life and confirmed their separation, stating that the decision was mutual and amicable.
The renewed speculation highlights how edited visuals and misleading captions continue to fuel misinformation across social media platforms.
