Trains Cancellation | There is important news for railway passengers traveling between Pune and North India. Due to ongoing infrastructure works on the Daund-Manmad railway line, several long-distance trains have been cancelled, while some trains have been rerouted. Hence, commuters may face major inconvenience this weekend. This will directly affect passengers going to Pune, Vidarbha, North Maharashtra and North India in particular.
Double-tracking and other technical improvement works are underway on the Daund-Manmad railway corridor by the Pune Division of the Central Railway. For this, ‘Non-inter locking block’ has been taken between Akolner, Ahmednagar and Nimbulak stations. This block will be in effect from May 15 to May 19, and is having a major impact on railway traffic. Which trains are canceled?
Many important trains have been completely canceled due to this block. The Pune-Nagpur Express will be canceled between May 15 and 18. The Pune-Gorakhpur special train will not run in both directions during the period from May 15 to 19. Pune-Danapur special service has been canceled on May 16 and 17. Apart from this, the Dadar-Sainagar Shirdi train will remain closed on May 16 and 17, while the Jabalpur-Pune special has been canceled on May 17 and 18. Ahmednagar-Beed DMU service has also been suspended for a few days.
Some train routes changed –
Apart from canceling the trains, the railway administration has also changed the routes of many trains. Hadapsar-Nanded Express will now run via Daund, Kurduvadi and Latur Road. Hazrat Nizamuddin-Yeshwantpur Express will reach Pune via Manmad, Kalyan, Panvel and Lonavla. Pune-Amravati Express has been rerouted through Latur Road. Trains Cancellation
Also, Pune-Gorakhpur and Pune-Banaras Express trains will run via Lonavla, Karjat, Panvel, Kalyan and Nashik roads. Due to this, stops at important stations such as Ahmednagar and Kopargaon have been temporarily cancelled. Therefore, there is a need for travelers in this area to look for alternative travel arrangements.
The schedule of some trains has also been changed. On May 18, the Pune-Howrah Duronto Express will depart about 30 minutes late, while the Gazipur City-Hadpasar Special is likely to be delayed by nearly four hours.
