Three important figures from Liverpool could be heading to the Middle East this summer, as reports suggest Saudi Arabian clubs are preparing a bold move.
Mohamed Salah has confirmed his decision to leave Liverpool at the end of the season, and the Saudi Pro League has emerged as his most probable destination — but he may not be the only one making the switch.
The 33-year-old forward has been linked with Al-Ittihad, Al-Nassr, and Al Hilal, as the Saudi league continues its drive to attract high-profile international stars.
However, Salah is not the only Liverpool representative on Saudi Arabia’s radar once the Premier League campaign concludes.
According to The Independent, Liverpool’s sporting director Richard Hughes and football chief executive Michael Edwards are also being pursued by the Saudi Pro League for senior roles.
Concerns over recruitment and Liverpool’s disappointing form this season have raised the possibility of a reshuffle within the club’s top management.
Edwards’ situation has become more complex following Liverpool’s decision to abandon a multi-club ownership model, a project he was initially brought in to lead.
He had reportedly evaluated several potential acquisitions, including Bordeaux, Malaga, and Getafe, but the club’s hierarchy ultimately decided against purchasing any of them.
The 46-year-old is now said to be considering a new challenge in Saudi Arabia, while Hughes has reportedly caught the attention of Al Hilal as part of their efforts to strengthen recruitment operations.
Both Edwards and Hughes have played pivotal roles in Liverpool’s successful years, and their combined experience would be a major asset for the Saudi league as it continues to raise its global profile.
Alongside Salah — who remains the top target in a competition already featuring Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, and Karim Benzema — a potential triple signing from Liverpool could mark another major milestone for Saudi football.
While significant changes could be on the horizon for Liverpool this summer, The Independent reports that the club currently has no intention of parting ways with manager Arne Slot.
Despite leading Liverpool to the Premier League title in his debut season, the Dutch boss has struggled to replicate that success in the 2025/26 campaign.
Nevertheless, the Anfield management is expected to stand by Slot as they prepare to rebuild the squad, replace Salah, and mount another title challenge next season.
