After the email came to light, the police and administration took immediate action and evacuated the entire premises and tightened security arrangements.
Threat sent on official mail
According to the information, a threatening message was sent to the official email address of the Postal Superintendent (Passport). The message, claiming to be to religious sentiments, threatened to release cyanide gas in the office and blow up the premises with RDX. As soon as the email was received, the local police was informed, after which Maner police station immediately reached the spot.

Keeping security in mind, first of all the employees and common citizens present in the office were evacuated safely. After this, the entire premises was sealed and a search operation was started. Along with this, the area was cordoned off to deal with any possible threat and vigilance was increased in the surrounding areas as well.
After receiving information about the incident, bomb disposal squad and other security agencies were also called to the spot. The expert team is closely examining the entire premises to ensure that no suspicious object or explosive is present there. At present the investigation is going on and the situation is being constantly monitored by the authorities.
Cyber team engaged in detecting threatening emails
At the same time, the cyber team of the police is busy identifying the person sending the threatening email. Through technical investigation of the email, efforts are being made to find out from which place and from which device the message was sent, along with this it is also being investigated whether it is the act of some mischievous element or there is some organized conspiracy behind it.
The administration has appealed to the people to ignore rumors and rely only on official information. Officials say that the security arrangements are completely strong and the matter is being investigated seriously. At present, no suspicious object has been confirmed, but all necessary steps are being taken as a precaution.
