Delhi Half Marathon 2026 Set for October 18: Registration Opens Soon

Event Overview

The 2026 edition of the Delhi Half Marathon is scheduled for October 18, taking place at the renowned Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi. Both physical and virtual race categories will begin accepting registrations on July 23.


Legacy of the Marathon

Organized by Procam International, the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon marks its 20th anniversary this year, contributing significantly to the distance-running culture in India. With a total prize pool of USD 260,000, the event draws both amateur and elite runners from around the globe.


Socio-Economic Contributions

The marathon's influence extends beyond the race itself. The VDHM Socio-Economic-Health Impact Report 2025, a joint effort by Procam International and Miranda House, University of Delhi, revealed that the 2025 event generated an impressive INR 433.88 crore. This edition attracted 39,513 participants, including 9,709 women, and raised INR 4.12 crore for charitable initiatives. Over the last two years, the event has produced a cumulative socio-economic and health impact of INR 802.74 crore.

Enhanced Experience for Runners

Participants will enjoy improved experiences, including complimentary Delhi Metro travel on race day, exclusive PUMA Race Day Tees for Half Marathon and Open 10K runners, and unique finisher medals crafted from zinc sourced from Hindustan Zinc's Zawar Mines in Rajasthan. Additionally, the event will introduce PLAYSCAPE, an innovative expo platform celebrating movement, wellness, and community, developed in collaboration with Exhibetter Global.

Registration Details

Registrations for various categories, including the Half Marathon, Open 10K, Great Delhi Run, Senior Citizens' Run, Champions with Disability Run, and Virtual Run, will commence on July 23. Each category will have specific closing dates or will close once all spots are filled.
