Lifestyle Desk – The holy month of Saavan is going on and at this time many people observe fast on Monday. Sabudana made by Falahari is the most popular dish after breaking the fast. But are you also bored of eating Sabudana Khichdi every time during the fast? This time try Sabudana Dosa for breakfast. Crispy from outside and soft from inside, this dosa tastes amazing and can be easily made with common ingredients consumed during fasting. Let us know its recipe.

Material

Sabudana-1 cup
Potatoes-2 boiled
Buckwheat or Rajgira flour – 2-3 tbsp
Green chilli-2 finely chopped
Cumin-1 tsp
Finely chopped coriander – a little
Rock salt-as per taste
a little water
Ghee for baking dosa

Method

  1. First of all, wash the sago thoroughly and soak it in water for 4-5 hours. Once the sago becomes soft, drain off its excess water. After this, grind the sago lightly coarsely.
  2. Now in a big vessel, mash the ground sago and boiled potatoes well and mix them. Add buckwheat or Rajgira flour, green chilli, cumin, green coriander and rock salt to it.
  3. After mixing everything well, add some water as per requirement and prepare a dosa like batter. Keep in mind that the solution should not be too thin.
  4. Now heat the pan well and apply some ghee on it. Pour the sago batter on the hot pan and spread it slowly in a round shape.
  5. Bake it on medium flame until the dosa becomes golden and crispy from the bottom side. After this, carefully turn it over and cook from the other side also.
  6. Serve the prepared Sabudana Dosa hot. Fast green chutney, peanut chutney or curd can be enjoyed with it. If you like the dosa to be more crispy, then do not spread the batter too thickly on the pan and let the dosa cook well on medium flame.

In this way, apart from khichdi made from sago, you will get a new and tasty breakfast during the fast.
