Devotees planning to embark on the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra will have to wait a little longer. The highly anticipated pilgrimage, initially scheduled to commence on September 14, has been postponed due to persistent heavy rainfall at Bhawan and along the track.
The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has urged pilgrims to stay informed through official channels for the latest updates and revised schedules. Safety remains the top priority, and authorities emphasize that the decision was made to ensure a secure journey for all visitors.
Earlier, the Shrine Board had announced a temporary suspension of the Yatra, citing unfavorable weather and essential track maintenance. The resumption had been planned for Sunday, September 14, contingent upon improved conditions. However, the relentless rains have forced officials to delay the pilgrimage further.
