Materials:
- Raisins – ½ cup
- Black raisins – ¼ cup
- Dry cranberries – ¼ cup
- Chopped figs – ¼ cup
- Chopped dates – ¼ cup
- Flour – 1½ cups
- Sugar – ¾ cup (for making caramel)
- Butter – ½ cup
- Eggs – 3
- Baking powder – 1 tsp
- Baking soda – ¼ tsp
- Cinnamon powder – ½ tsp
- Nutmeg powder – ¼ tsp
- Clove powder – ¼ tsp
- Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
- Orange juice – 1 cup
- Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
- Almonds/cashews – ¼ cup chopped
- Water – 2-3 tbsp

Action:
- For this first take all the dry fruits in a bowl. Add orange juice and lemon juice to it and let it soak overnight. It enhances the taste of the cake tremendously.
- Add sugar to a pan and let it melt on low heat. When it turns dark brown, add 2-3 tbsp of water. Make a nice syrup and let it cool.
- Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon powder, clove powder and nutmeg powder into a bowl.
- After softening the butter, add the prepared caramel syrup and eggs and beat well. Add vanilla essence to it.
- Gradually mix the flour mixture into the wet mixture. Then add soaked dry fruits (with juice) and chopped almonds/cashew nuts and mix well.
- Butter the cake tin and dust with flour. Pour in the mixture and bake at 160°C for 45–55 minutes. in
- Check by inserting a toothpick, if it comes out clean, the cake is ready.
- Let the cake cool completely. It gets tastier the longer it is kept.
