Applications have opened for Constable positions through the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB). The JKSSB has announced recruitment for over 600 Constable positions. Candidates who wish to work as Constables in Jammu and Kashmir can apply through the official JKSSB website, www.jkssb.nic.in. The last date to apply for these positions is March 2, 2026.

Age Limit
The minimum age limit for applying for Constable positions is 18 years. The maximum age limit is 28, 30, or 40 years, depending on the category.

Application Fee
Unreserved category candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 700, while reserved category candidates (SC, ST, and EWS) are required to pay Rs. 600.

Exam Pattern
The written examination for Constable positions will consist of multiple-choice questions in English. There will be a negative marking of one-fourth of a mark for each incorrect answer. Candidates selected in this examination will be invited for the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Candidates who qualify in the PET and PST will then participate in the document verification process.
