Cruz Beckham's family haven't been out of the news lately after Brooklyn Beckham launched a blistering online tirade against their celebrity parents David and Victoria Beckham in a blunt six-page Instagram post. However, despite this, the publicity doesn't seem to have done much when it comes to the success of the 20-year-old's debut single, 'Optics'. The track has so far only reached spot 79 on the UK's Single Charts. It also only lasted one week in the Top 100, peaking at that position.

The disappointing result for Cruz comes as mum Victoria's 2001 single 'Not Such an Innocent Girl' surged back to the top of the charts, hitting No. 1 on the UK iTunes and official sales/downloads charts following a viral fan campaign.

Fans are now making a brutal statement about Cruz's singing career after the news of the song placement was shared over on X.

One person exclaimed: "Let's say he sings like Brooklyn cooks."

While another added: "Too auto-tuned. His real voice cannot be heard."

A third chimed in: "Aww, poor kid. Someone told him he could sing."

While a fourth quipped: "How did it debut so high?"

Despite the comments, some people admitted they were a fan of the song, as one person wrote: "Surprisingly I really like it. String 90’s energy, post bullsh*t styling, seemingly self-aware and easy going. Did not think I would enjoy it, but I think it’s pretty good."

While another agreed: "It's very 90's. I'm not mad at it. I've heard him sing other songs off his out coming album that I think are better, but guess who is listening to it over and over when the wife is in the shower or getting her nails done?"

The comments come as Cruz revealed he was heading on tour this February and March – with a number of UK dates scheduled, as well as shows in Paris, Amsterdam and Berlin.

The Cruz Beckham and the Breakers are kicking off the 'For Your Love' Tour in Birmingham on February 25 with the dates ending on March 27 in London.

Victoria was seen supporting Cruz last week by sharing his final London tour date news on her Instagram page shortly before Brooklyn launched his blistering attack on her.

According to reports, Victoria has been 'in bits' over the statement, with sources close to the Beckhams telling The Mirror: "Victoria is on the floor, shocked to pieces that her son would do this.

"Everyone is in shock. But Victoria is totally in pieces over this. But, she is worried, as is David, that this will be the end of Brand Beckham, with the claims of the falseness and pretend relationships; they are worried about what else he is going to come out with."

They continued: "They're still blaming Nicola, feeling she had put him up to this, and it's all to do with her; they're constantly blaming Nicola. But as Brooklyn said, he had to do this."

Cruz was fiercely seen defending mum Victoria earlier this month when he said he had 'the best mum' while sharing one of her WhatsApp messages online.

Victoria, who is saved Cruz's phone as ‘Mothership’, wrote to him: “We believe in you! Use that other brilliant side of your brain!” accompanied by a brain emoji and a twinkling star.

Cruz also claimed back in December that Brooklyn blocked his whole family on Instagram - as he blasted reports that his parents David and Victoria had unfollowed their eldest son.

It's reported that despite his fallout with his family, Brooklyn is currently battling to keep sister Harper, 14, close, however he's finding it 'difficult'.
